thanks for all the info...im going with a soft lift. buying spacers for my impreza tomorrow from paranoid fab...I will take your advice, ive found a few impreza's cheap, high miles in okay mechanical condition, rusty. I think is drive train and engine is good, I will buy cheap and lift. Thanks again.

thank you the link was very helpful. Question: Do you think that lift can be done by a NewBie? Im really torn between buying an old 93 an up impreza or an 88-90 jeep yj to lift.

hey I just checked out the picks of you lift and its really cool... anyway I got to thinking. I use to off road alot in my land cruiser fj40 and 4 runner. I use to run retread tires so maybe you could check this site. They dont do low profile or standard car tires but i think you could get a nice deal. 4 wheel drive magazine did a story on them a couple years ago.
