First post and new to Subaru, LOTS os questions! So many questions so i will start by saying GREAT SITE!!! LOVE MY Subaru!!!
First; do i have to pull the axel shaft to change the bearings in the rear? Next; what is the best hub puller for both front and rear? Next but not last will ask more later; is a 12 ton press enough to remove and install the bushings in the rear links? I have to replace the struts and springs so was thinking might as well go all out and do the front and rear complete. This forester runs really good with 91K miles everything works as it should few small dents no rust other than rusty bolts . Please help if you can.

I have personally done both front and rear bearings and the fronts are by far the easiest. The long bolt that holds it all together is seized. The bushings from the lateral links are seized to the bolt. You are better off getting good used rear knuckles and new bushings for the outside of the lateral links or do a rear disc conversion if you don't have the, already. Pay a shop to do it. Save yourself some back pain and grey hair.
