Default Rally Innovations and DIY Light bar

I ordered a Rally Innovations light bar this week with 2 Hella 700's, 500's and 500 fogs. I am also making a light bar myself. After seeing the ones on here it seems fairly easy. I will have pictures soon.

Sounds good! Can't wait to see. The one I made rusted, even with the 900 coats of paint lol. I was looking at the rally innovations as a replacement, but I wasn't sure how it would work with the 700's. So if I'm reading that right, you are putting 6 lights on it? That's awesome!

I know I can fit 4 lights so I think 2 more will fit fine, if not I will put on a light bar that I made. I talked to the guys at RI and they said 700's would fit fine on top. I can't wait to get it.

I drew this up. Easier to read than the Hella instructions. Can anyone answer my question?

I wired my fogs just like in the diagram, but they seem to not be working? Any idea on what I did wrong?

That wire doesnt need to be connected to ground. Chassis ground is chassis ground. Some might not work as well as others but its going to complete the circuit.

I did mine like that but make sure that fuse to the switch with the LED isnt blown. I broke mine 2 times because it was only a 2.5 amp fuse. (thin element) I upped to a 5 amp. Which isnt going to fry anything if it shorts to ground. Its going to pop just as fast. You can tell if the fuse is blown or not just by seeing if the light comes on.

If it isnt working make sure the relay is click when you activate the coil. Simply touch the 85 side wire to chassis and it should move in your hand or you should hear a click. if that is ok, check the ground at the lights. Usually its a ground problem.

I got my light bar today and it was an okay install, I had to remove some shield by the exhaust to get the bolts in, and had to cut some of the splash guard. Other than that it was easy. The bar looks great and feels stable. The lights are not wired yet doing that tomorrow.

Sexiness for sure. I would have made a top mount too but then it would have blocked my WRX plate delete and my super-tones.

I dig it.

You definitely don't need to worry about the ground coming of the neg terminal on the battery, this is already grounded with the factory wiring.

The diagram you drew looks correct. Take a testing light or multimeter to the power wire that goes to the lights and and make sure the relay is sending power to that wire when the toggle is in the on position. If its not, start tracing backwards through your "hot" connections and see where the juice is getting stopped!

I got the 700's wired. I need to do the 500's now. It is freezing in my garage. Can't wait to get them done.
