Okay, I drive an evo and since the brembos are too big, I can't use 15 inch wheels. So I have 17 inch on and I have been trying to find a winter tire to use instead of the crappy street tires I have. What size/brand would be best? Right now I have the cheapest kumho ecsta 245/45/17 and I was told that was a very bad setup. Or if anyone knows of 15 inch wheels that will fit over the brakes? Anything is helpful

Firestone Winterforce tires, they are amazing in snow and in dirt/gravel. I'm running 225/50 17 on my 06 sti. You can also get them for a pretty good price. It cost me $666 which included mounting and balancing.

tempra winterquest have a very hard sidewall, harder than most 'performance' tires out there.
