Official picture thread - Gorman Ridge Rally 2008!

The 2008 Gorman Ridge Rally took place over August 15 and 16th just north of LA in the hills. This was an exciting event for several reasons. It was the first event where the DirtyImpreza.com Rally Team (DIRT) was going to be promoted, Keith Jackson's maiden rally (with co-driver Jon Burke) in his frantically but beautifully prepared Open class STi, and Eli Gilbert and Mindy Delodder's of Tommy Gun Rally's return to Gorman after an unfortunate engine disaster before Idaho Rally. The Jackson Rally STi was all stickered up with DI logos, including two huge decals on the side, there was no mistaking that we wanted to be seen! The event went very well, most people on the service crew including myself didn't get up there to saturday morning. Keith did awesome and took 6th overall at the event, Eli finshed very strong despite almost completly losing his transmission.

The day's racing was long and hot, but it was a great experience. I can't want to see DIRT cars in action at some upcoming events! Now onto the pictures.

After quite a few beers, margaritas from El Blendero (the twostroke mobile blender), and it was time to play some Rockband. Eli on vocals, and Dave on the drums!

Great day everyone, it really was a team effort. Everyone pitched in and it made all the difference when we had to tear down and setup service 3 times! The drivers and co-drivers all did awesome, you guys rule. Can't wait for the next event...

Indeed. Usually night stages. Stages 1, 2 and 3 are "pour ingredients", "very loud 2-stroke blender noise", "drink results"). Stages 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 are reruns of the first three stages.
